 Dr. Mehran Azar is a General Practitioner.  He is on the cutting edge of dental healthcare and is experienced in all phases of general dentistry including cosmetic, restorative, and implant.  Dr. Azar received his Bachelors of Science in Biology with honors from the University of Miami and his D.D.S. from Columbia University School of Dental and Oral Surgery. He completed a General Practice Residency at Hackensack University Medical Center. Dr. Azar was a recipient of the Clark Foundation Scholarship, the Ash B. Merit Scholarship and numerous other honors during his education. He was a consulting dentist for MetLife Insurance Company and in private practice in the New York area before joining Connecticut Dental Group. Dr. Azar has been with our group for more than nine years and he also has been a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the Academy of General Dentistry and the American Dental Association.

 Dr. Wanda Lanzone is a specialist in Periodontics. She has an excellent background in surgical and non-surgical care of the gums and supporting structures of the teeth.  Dr. Lanzone graduated from Fordham University and Fairleigh Dickinson School of Dental Medicine. She completed a General Practice Residency at Metropolitan Hospital and practiced General Dentistry for five years before completing her two-year specialty training program at Columbia University.  Dr. Lanzone has received several honors including the National Award for Leadership from the American Association of Women Dentists.  She is a member of the National Academy of Periodontics and the American Dental Association.

Dr. Wladimir Gedeon specializes in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery.  He received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Biological Sciences from Stonybrook University in New York and received his Doctor of Dental Surgery, DDS, from Colombia University School of Dental and Oral Surgery. Dr. Gedeon received his training in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery from Woodhull Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York and has been practicing in Connecticut for the past seven years. Dr. Gedeon is a member of the following professional organizations: Past President and Member of the Greater Danbury Dental Society and an American Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. He was selected as one of the top dentists in 2009 by Connecticut Magazine. Dr. Gedeon’s area of expertise is in dental implants and pre-prosthetic surgery which includes soft tissue and bone grafting techniques. Dr. Gedeon is married with three children and enjoys spending time with his family, traveling and reading in his free time.
